Praise and Thanks!

"Call to me, and I will answer you, and show you great and might things, which you do not know." (Jeremiah 33:3)

We praise you and thank you, Lord, for bringing us to this place of owning this church property.

We are grateful for generous hearts of Creeksiders in meeting this purchase goal.

We ask for guidance into what you desire of us, as we move forward.

Protect us with unity as we set out to do your work that you lay before us, removing obstacles and confusion, and defeating any attacks of the enemy.

In Jesus name we pray, Amen.

God is Faithful

See, I am doing a new thing! Now it will spring up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43:19)

We are grateful and thankful, Lord, for your extreme faithfulness and the faithfulness of the Creekside family and Evangelical Chinese Church in navigating us through the process of purchasing this place.

With this knowledge and experience of God's faithfulness, we move forward in the steps to acquire this property, with a posture of expectancy to be amazed at what God is going to do.

More Than Just A Transaction

May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and father of our Lord Jesus Christ.  (Romans 15: 5-6)

Lord, we are grateful for your faithfulness in guiding and leading us through the steps of purchasing this property.
Thank you for the relationship with Evangelical Chinese Church which is growing beyond a business transaction to one of uniting in serving you.

I trust in you, O Lord;
 You are my God.
 My times are in your hands. (Psalm 31:15)

We are thankful for the generosity of our Creekside families contributing to the building fund towards the goal needed for a summer closing date.

We ask for continued guidance and timely communication between Creekside Covenant Church and Evangelical Chinese Church as we partner together to accomplish your plans for both churches.

Partnership

In your unfailing love you will lead the people you have redeemed. In your strength you will guide them to your holy dwelling. (Exodus 15:13)

Thank you, Lord, that you have chosen us to serve you in mighty ways from this place. We are grateful for the continued partnership with Evangelical Chinese Church in the process of transferring this property to Creekside. We ask for protection and guidance of our churches. We ask for protection of families and individuals so that we may be strong to serve you.

How great is your goodness which you have stored up for those who fear you, which you bestow on those who take refuge in you. (Psalms 31:19)

Thank you, Lord, for the godly partnership we have with Evangelical Chinese Church in seeking your best plan for both churches.

Thank you that this relationship goes beyond a business transaction and is purposed for a higher call of serving you.

Help us to reach the monetary goal needed to take the next step of a closing date on purchasing this property.

Please pray for the Creekside Leadership Team and the Evangelical Chinese Church leadership scheduled to meet soon on the next step in negotiating a closing date for purchase of this property; that we would have clarity and unity as we move forward.

Please pray that both churches would commit all to the Lord and trust that he will give both churches the desire of their hearts.

Respect the Lord

"The Lord will bless those who respect him, from the smallest to the greatest." (Psalm 115:13)

We are grateful that you are a God of wisdom and righteousness.
We ask for continued guidance through negotiations with Evangelical Chinese Church and a favorable outcome for both churches on the closing date for purchase of this property.
May we remain respectful to the Lord and do great things for Jesus.

Lord, we are thankful for our partnership with you in moving forward towards acquiring this property. We are grateful for the partnership with Evangelical Chinese Church in seeking your vision for this place. We are thankful for Creeksiders joining together generously to fund the purchase of this property.

We are grateful for the partnering with Evangelical Chinese Church and their desire to have us be in this place to continue your work in this community. We ask that you lead us as a united church through this phase of raising funds to acquire this property. Strengthen us with humble and generous hearts of thanksgiving. Continue to reveal your vision for us in this place as we desire to honor you.

A Foundation of Humility and Trust

How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head running down on the beard, running down on Aaron's beard, down upon the collar of his robes. It is as if the dew of Hernon were falling on Mount Zion.  For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore. (Psalm 133)
 
Heavenly Father, thank you for your guidance thus far regarding possible acquisition of this property we now inhabit. We ask for a strong foundation of humility and trust in you. We ask for the gift of unity and community as you stir our hearts with your vision for Creekside regarding this property. 

You are the  Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all. Ephesians 4:5

Giving Thanks

"I face your Temple as I worship, giving thanks to you for all your loving kindness and your faithfulness, for your promises are backed by the honor of your name. When I pray, you answer me, and encourage me by giving me the strength I need." (Psalms 138:2-3)

Lord, you are showing us favor through the desire of Evangelical Chinese Church to partner with Creekside in making it possible for us to own this property. We thank you that the lease was extended for another year, so that we can work through the steps for possible purchase. We are grateful that the rent was not increased and kept the same. We thank you for this partnership of our churches to further your kingdom here on earth.

"Give thanks to the Lord for his is good. His love endures forever." (Psalm 136:1)

"For I know the plans I have for you", declares the Lord, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come to pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart." (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Thank you, Lord, for the presence of your Holy Spirit guiding the conversation in the meeting with Creekside and Evangelical Chinese Church leadership members. Thank you for binding us together in unity to accomplish your purposes.

Open our hearts and eyes to see what you are doing in this place and around us, that we might come along side and be the hands and feet of your work.

We ask that you place your guiding hand on the the outcome of the final purchase price of the two buildings we now inhabit.

Upcoming Conversations

For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God. The Spirit you received does not make you slaves, so that you live in fear again; rather, the Spirit you received brought about your adoption to sonship. And by him we cry, "Abba, Father."  The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.  Now if we are children, then we are heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory. (Romans 8:14-16)

Please pray for upcoming conversations with Evangelical Chinese Church and Creekside about the purchase price of the property. Pray for wisdom and understanding.  Pray that above all, God's will is done and that we walk in His providence for us. Pray for unity among the leaders and people.  Pray your thankfulness to our true father for his blessings.

Lord, Direct Our Hearts & Intentions

Evangelical Chinese Church will be deliberating over the next month Creekside's proposal regarding purchase price and possible rental lease extension.

Please pray that the Lord would direct our (ECC and CCC's) hearts and intentions to God's will (1 Chronicles 29:18) and that our thoughts and perspectives would be of one accord and woven into God's perfect plan.

"Be joyful always, pray continuously, give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus." (1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)

Lord, we are thankful for the time we have had in these buildings and property. We are grateful for the new opportunities for personal  growth and outreach because of this location.

We thank you for the November 17 congregational meeting and the communication that transpired.

We are thankful that the relationship with the Evangelical Chinese Church is one of mutual respect and desire of your will.

We ask for your continued guidance of the Leadership team for the next meeting with ECC in early December. Please go before us in preparation of the agenda and outcome of that meeting.

We thank you that you are in the midst of us and your plan is for good. (Jeremiah 29:11)

Heavenly Father, as we move forward with your guidance in decisions to be made regarding these buildings we occupy, help us to keep in our minds and hearts that:

Unless the Lord builds the house, the builders labor in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city the watchmen stand guard in vain. (Psalms 127:1-2)

We choose to trust in you with all our hearts and lean not on our own understanding. We choose to acknowledge you in all our ways so that our path is made straight. (Proverbs 3:5-6)

Thank you that we are your chosen people, called out of darkness into your light. (1 Peter 2:9)
